Holland House

Supporting Independence

Life at Holland House

The smaller of our two homes Holland House is our latest home and opened in January 2023.  A cosy and much smaller residential setting the home offers care and support to five individuals.  This smaller service is specifically focused on developing a more independent and person-centred plan around those final areas of independence.

Day to day routines are very much like most domestic homes where laundry, cleaning and tidying personal spaces plays a part in personal development as well as learning to engage in positive relationships where mutual respect and trust prevails in the home setting.

At Holland House service user take much more responsibility. This could translate to shopping for and cooking their own meal, taking part in a chosen community activity, or simply deciding to venture out in to the garden where our extensive vegetable plots, green house and gardens offer plenty to take responsibility for.

Confidence and experience in more independent areas of life are enabled here via robust support plans. Every individual is fully supported in their choices, needs and wishes as part of that final progression towards Independent Supported Living within the community.
