With August over and Autumn nearly here, we’ve been looking back at what a busy and joy-filled summer it’s been!
Goole has been buzzing with activity, and we made the most of every opportunity to get out and about. Pride Month brought colour and celebration to the town centre with music, dancing, and vibrant stalls.
We cheered on the four-legged stars of the RSPCA dog show, and Holland House enjoyed a magical trip to the Thumbelina puppet show, where a children’s classic came to life. Music in the Park was another highlight, filling the air with brass band sounds, and of course, we couldn’t miss the much-loved Old Goole Gala – complete with fair rides, food, and fun for all!
Pamela and Jonathan also made memories at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, where spotting animals was just the start – they rounded off their day with a fantastic Taylor Swift tribute concert.
Closer to home, the Holland House garden has been a source of joy, and plenty of fruit, this summer. From berries and plums to apples and strawberries, we’ve been busy foraging and enjoying nature’s bounty. Meanwhile, over at Goldcrest, the Arts and Crafts room has remained a hotspot. From messy play and board games to creative projects, it’s been wonderful to see new skills blossoming alongside the fun.
